WHO THE HELL IS THEY?

Every few weeks, a certain meme starts making its rounds again. You’ve probably seen it: a guy with a beard wearing a wife-beater with a huge eagle and “We The People” tattoo holding a sign that says “THEY WANT US TO HATE EACH OTHER”.

It receives thousands of shares, especially from people whose timeline is littered with reels from Fox News.

But here’s the problem: nobody ever stops to ask the obvious question…

Who the hell are they?

Because if you pay attention, the hate starts at the top from Donald J. Trump, who has turned Truth Social into his meltdown and blames everything on Biden page.

Here are just a few recent gems:

  • “Liberal Jews voted to destroy America.”
(Ah, yes. Nothing brings people together like blaming an entire religious group for your polling numbers.)

  • “Crooked Joe is the WORST president in the history of our country!”
    (Normal presidential behavior.)

  • “Deranged Jack Smith should be indicted for treason!”
(Indicting a prosecutor for doing his job. That’s how democracy works, right?)

  • “The radical left is trying to destroy everything we love about America!”
(But January 6 was totally normal behavior)

This is a man who wakes up, gulps a Diet Coke, and immediately types something that would cost the average American to more than likely lose their job.

So when someone shares that “They want us to hate each other” post, maybe ask them:
Isn’t Trump literally yelling at half the country every morning?

Division doesn’t start with your neighbor voting differently. It doesn’t start with drag brunches or book clubs or rainbow flags. It starts with a “leader” who treats political opponents like enemies of the state — and gets cheered for doing it.

So if you want unity, maybe don’t blindly follow the guy whose version of a Sunday sermon is “Joe Biden is a criminal, lock him up.”

Otherwise, you’re not quoting a meme —you’re quoting the guy who made the meme necessary.
