TRUMP 2028: We Don’t Need a 82-Year-Old, and Even the Biggest MAGA Bootlickers Should Admit That
As I watched my daughter participate in a Fourth of July parade, I saw my first red "Trump 2028" hat in person, out in the wild. As cringeworthy as it was, it gave me some motivation to update this website for the first time in a week.
Let’s get one thing out of the way: “TRUMP 2028” isn’t a serious idea, it's a bumper sticker for people who think the Constitution is optional if they shout loud enough. But setting aside the legal impossibility of a third term, can we at least agree on one basic truth? We don’t need an 82-year-old running for president. And if we’re being honest, even the most hardcore MAGA disciples should be able to say that out loud without melting into a puddle of denial.
It’s not about ageism, it’s about reality. We just saw the Democratic Party self-implode trying to defend a candidate whose age caught up to him in real time. Are we going to pretend that doesn’t apply to Trump, too? The man already rambles like your uncle after a six-pack of PBR at a family reunion in the hills of West Virginia. He’s not going to be sharper at age 82.
The sad part is, the Trump cult isn’t about logic. It’s about vibes. It’s about grievance politics wrapped in merch. Trump could slap “TRUMP 2036” on a tote bag and half the crowd would buy it, no questions asked, while claiming the deep state forged the 22nd Amendment. The “TRUMP 2028” branding isn’t a campaign; it's a fundraising gimmick.
And you know what? The real shame isn’t Trump trying to sell this fantasy. It’s the people who know better who are going along with it. Elected Republicans who should be grooming a new generation of leaders are too scared of a Truth Social post to say, “Maybe we shouldn’t nominate a guy who was born during the Truman administration.”
If the GOP had any self-respect left, they’d be trying to build a future, not resurrect the past because here’s the dirty secret: even MAGA World won’t admit it in public, but behind closed doors, they know this can’t last. They know Trump 2028 is a fantasy fueled by nostalgia, not viability.
So here it is: Trump 2028 isn’t happening. Not legally, not mentally, not physically. And if you’re still clinging to that hope, you’re not following a movement, you’re following a mascot. We don’t need an 82-year-old running the country. The last thing we need is an 85-year-old Trump navigating the steps of Air Force One when he struggles some days to do so now at age 79 and even the most loyal bootlickers should admit that.
