IF RACISM IS WHAT YOU VOTED FOR, I’M DONE PRETENDING THIS IS JUST POLITICS

So the other night, Donald Trump went on another late-night social media tirade because, unfortunately, that’s what he does. He posted a video on Truth Social that included a depiction of Barack Obama and Michelle Obama as apes. The White House tried to wave it off as “an internet meme” and told everyone to stop the “fake outrage,” and then the post got deleted anyway.

There is no “spinning” your way out of this, no matter how hard Trump and Karoline Leavitt try. Depicting the Obamas as apes was deliberate and racist.

That post was the breaking point for me. I’ve said since the 2024 election that I wouldn’t let political differences destroy friendships or relationships with family members. That is out the window. If you’re still part of the “this is what I voted for” crowd, I will cut you out of my life faster than Lorena Bobbitt cut off John Wayne Bobbitt’s penis. Yes, I said what I said.

Seriously, every day it’s something else. This whole presidency is chaos, and not even organized chaos.

If any other American pulled a stunt like this on social media, especially if it was tied to their job, they’d be fired, removed, and basically deemed unemployable, but yet we are supposed to sit back and allow the leader of the free world to continue to humiliate our nation on a global scale.

Trump’s whole presidency is nothing more than a revenge tour that involves seeing how much money he can add to his bank account and how many buildings he can get named after himself.

I love my country, but I am ashamed of what we’re tolerating. How much longer are we going to put up with Donald Trump ruining our once-great country?
